The spokesperson of the Balochistan Liberation Front, Major Gwahram Baloch, paid tribute to Martyr Sikander Baloch.

He stated that on April 1st, Sarmachar Captain Sikander Baloch, also known as Shay Murid and a resident of Gomazi, was martyred during a direct confrontation with the Pakistani army. He and a fellow fighter encountered the occupying forces in the mountainous region of Talidar, Mand, where both resisted bravely. The Pakistani military received aerial support and deployed SSG commandos. Three SSG commandos were killed, and several others were injured. Sikander’s comrade sustained minor injuries and safely retreated.

He further added that Martyr Sikander Baloch had been politically active since his student days and joined the national liberation struggle under BLF in 2013. At the time of his martyrdom, he was leading the camp in the absence of senior commanders. He played a vital role in the political training of fellow fighters and strengthening the organization. His dedication remains a role model.

His family has made immense sacrifices. His father, Chairman Dost Muhammad, was abducted by Military Intelligence (MI) on 21 May 2017 and his body was recovered on 25 May 2017. Earlier, his elder brother, Tahir Baloch, was martyred on 15 February 2017 in a death squad attack in Gomazi.
