Martyr Asad Baloch alias Major Basit Baloch son of Muhammad and Amina Baloch and was a resident of Kulanch Pasni, Balochistan. According to organizational statement. He become part of Baloch Liberation movement in the platform of Balochistan Liberation Front BLF in 2011. He was a member of the Makran area Council of BLF and held on rank of the Major.
His family members were made victim of collective punishment. His brother Sabir Baloch was forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani army to force Asad Baloch to give up his struggle for independence. When Asad did not come under pressure, the Pakistan Army killed his brother Sabir in military custody on November 2016 and dumped his mutilated body, claiming that he was killed in an encounter. on March 4, 2016, his mother, Bibi Amina, was wounded by forces’ firing. He himself was injured in an attack by Death Squad on January 3, 2016. Similarly, the state of Pakistan and its death squads killed his three uncles, Lal Bakhsh on October 16, 2016, Yousif Baloch on March 31, 2016 and Babu on August 11, 2018.
Asad Baloch embraced martyrdom along with other his three comrades Pervez Mehr Baloch, Akil Azad and Saki Baksh Baloch during a clash with Pakistan’s Army in Madag e Kaor, area of Kolwa, Kech, Balochistan on Oct 9, 2021.
