Noor Jan Baloch, a resident of Harooni Dan, Awaran, was a laborer from a poor family. He and his son were detained by Pakistani forces, who demanded he bring his daughter—recently married to a freedom fighter—to their military camp. On May 20, 2021, Noor Jan chose to end his life rather than hand over his daughter to the Pakistani military.
