Martyr Muhammed Shafi Baloch S/o Haji Jangi Khan Mengal, was a resident of Anjira, Surab area of Kalat, of Balochistan. He got his early education in Government School Anjira and he also got Islamic education in Tablighi College Hub. He did his F.Sc in Government Degree College Khuzdar. Due to financial issues, he did not continue his education and did a private BA.
According organizational statement; He started his political career with BSO-Pajjar during his matriculation but later on joined BSO Azad. After joining BSO Azad, he was threatened by the security official’s multiple times to withdraw his political activities, but he did not stop and continued his advocacy for the freedom of Balochistan. He was one of the comrades of the organization who was involved in each and every activity of the organization. He regularly participated in the activism of BSO Azad. Exercising his political right, he distributed pamphlets, books and other revolutionary materials to give awareness to the Baloch Nation regarding the slavery that they are facing today on the hands of the occupied Pakistani forces. He had passion for playingcricket and played district level cricket in the area. He always opposed the tribal system in the area. For the very cause, he was beaten and imprisoned several times on the direction of Sardar. He believed in political struggle and was targeted for his exercise of peaceful political expression.
He was abducted on 7th August, 2011 from Agha Khan Hospital Karachi. His tortured dead body was found dumped on 10th October, 2011 in Bagbana Khuzdar, Balochistan.
